What I offer

Telehealth Appointments

Dietetic Telehealth Care from Wherever You Are

Accessing quality healthcare needs to fit into your life, not the other way around. That’s why I offer comprehensive telehealth appointments, bringing experienced dietetic support directly to you, whether you’re at home, at work, or even at school.

Professional care through secure video conferencing

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, I provide telehealth appointments for clients throughout Australia. Our sessions are conducted via Zoom, a secure video conferencing platform that ensures your privacy and confidentiality. All you need is a private setting and either a laptop or a phone to access your appointment.

Do Medicare and private health rebates apply to telehealth?

Telehealth appointments are fully eligible for Medicare rebates. If you’re working with me under an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan or a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan, you can continue utilising your Medicare benefits through telehealth sessions without any changes to your coverage.

Don’t have a Medicare plan? You may still be eligible for rebates through your private health insurance. I recommend contacting your provider directly to confirm whether dietetic services via telehealth are included in your plan.

What are the benefits of choosing telehealth?

Telehealth appointments make it easier to access support around your busy schedule, offering the following benefits:

No travel time means more time for what matters.

For parents with adolescent children, telehealth offers unique flexibility as you can both participate in sessions from separate locations, allowing for individual and family involvement as needed.

Engaging in therapy from your own environment can create a greater sense of safety and ease. You have immediate access to your own comfort items (heat pack, weighted blanket, fidget toys, or your favourite snacks and drinks).

For those experiencing anxiety, removing the stress of travelling to appointments can eliminate a significant barrier to effective treatment.

When you begin working with me, you’re not locked into one mode of service. You can alternate between in-person and telehealth sessions as your circumstances, preferences, or comfort levels change. This flexibility ensures your treatment adapts to you.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person sessions?

This is one of the most common questions I hear, and the answer is encouraging. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, health professionals have refined telehealth practices to ensure maximum effectiveness. Research and clinical experience show that the most crucial factor in successful treatment is the therapeutic relationship, not the setting.

If you feel comfortable discussing your concerns via video and believe you can engage meaningfully in this format, telehealth will absolutely benefit you. Many clients find it equally, if not more, effective than traditional in-person appointments.

Want to experience telehealth for yourself?

I invite you to book a free discovery call to explore further. This 10–15 minute session, conducted via phone or video, gives you the opportunity to learn more about our services, discuss how we might work together, and share about your own health journey. There’s absolutely no pressure, just a chance to satisfy your curiosity and see if I am the right fit for you.
